“Winter wellness for teens and parents” series begins soon – Boulder Jewish News


Boulder JCC and Jewish Family Service present a four-part weekly series titled “Winter Wellness for Teens and Parents, starting January 24, 2022.”

Each session will feature fun, creative, and holistic self-care activities paired with resilience-building skills and body-based strategies for dealing with stress and anxiety. Learn hands-on winter personal care skills, such as formulating infused honey and medicinal syrups, creating herbal tea blends, and making winter skin care products. This course is in person and open to teens and parents / guardians to attend together. The participation of families is strongly encouraged.

Session 1: Herbal Syrups / Honey infused with Tzuria Malpica; “Turning arguments into authentic and productive conversations” with Cynthia Hildner

Session 2: Mixtures of bath salts with Tzuria Malpica; “Recognizing power struggles and how to get out of them” with Cynthia Hildner

Session 3: Winter skin care with Tzuria Malpica; “Turning Anxiety Into A Super Power” with Avani Dilger

Session 4: Mixtures of herbal teas with Tzuria Malpica; “AcuDetox and brain chemistry of emotions” with Avani Dilger
